Laguna Madre Art Residency
The Laguna Madre Art Residency is a collaborative program with Corpus Christi Art Center and Texas A&M Corpus Christi Coastal Studies Center, providing an in-depth experience with the natural environment of the Laguna Madre. This program has provided a unique experience and perspective on the magic the Texas coast has to offer. The beauty of solitude, for a short time away from the fast-paced lifestyle, allows oneself to reconnect with the creative self.
During my time, I experienced a sense of nostalgia with the freedom to do as I pleased, creating work and writing down ideas based on my observations. I intend for my body of work to encapsulate the idea of home and appreciation for the details we sometimes overlook.
I will have a solo show for this body of work at the Corpus Christi Art Center in April 2026.
